When you first get your mini pedaller it is best to try it out at the lowest resistance setting. This way you can learn how to pedal downward so you don’t push the bike away from you. The internal flywheel will keep moving even when you are not pushing on the pedals.
The resistance adjustment knob allows for micro settings and will turn a full 5 1/2 complete rotations from the least resistance to the maximum resistance. Do not try and force the dial past the maximum resistance setting.
When pedalling focus on pedalling down toward the floor. As you become comfortable with your new Magnetic Pedaller you can gradually increase the tension. Continue to pedal downward as you become accustomed to the new tension setting.
To ensure you pedal downward don’t apply any pressure to the pedal until the crank arm is at the 1 o’clock position. If your sofa is lower this may be more difficult but by doing this you will be working more of the legs primarely the quads and hamstrings.
